Information About 25-COMM-E2P
The 25-COMM-E2P adapter is a PowerFlex 520 series dual-port Ethernet/IP adapter that has been designed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation to be used with the PowerFlex 520 series drives to provide them with network communication. This adapter is installed inside the host PowerFlex 520 drive. Some of its physical parts are a communication card-drive header, a node address switch, CS1 and CS2 terminals, 2 Ethernet/IP ports, and status indicators. Some other features include support for star, linear, and device-level ring network topologies, and support for switches that can set a network node address before applying power to the drive. These switches can also be disabled and a BOOTP server can be used instead. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 25-COMM-E2P dual-port Ethernet/IP adapter’s status indicators report the operating status of the adapter and the network communications. This adapter comes with parameters that have been configured with 16-bit datalinks in the I/O to meet various application requirements.
This adapter is fully compatible with the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PowerFlex 525 and 523 series drives. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 25-COMM-E2P dual-port Ethernet/IP adapter is a multicast device that might require an IGMP snooping switch to operate properly in certain systems or applications. This adapter comes equipped with a display and keyboard that can be used to enter and modify different adapter parameters. Before the installation of the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 25-COMM-E2P dual-port Ethernet/IP adapter, the power needs to be removed completely from the host drive to ensure that there will be no damage to the devices in the system and no user injury.
