Information About 25B-A4P8N114
The 25B-A4P8N114 PowerFlex AC drive from Rockwell Automation is designed with various motor control options. The drive is capable of implementing control methods such as volts per hertz control, sensorless vector control, closed loop velocity control, and permanent magnet motor control. The 25B-A4P8N114 drive also has various I/O terminals which include two analog inputs, seven digital inputs, one analog output, and two relay outputs along with the opto outputs. There are also communication ports such as the Embedded Ethernet IP and integral RS485, and communication options including Dual-port Ethernet IP, , and the DSI communication port. The drive is optimized for common DC bus installation. The common DC bus installation offers additional inherent braking by utilizing the drives on the bus for energy absorption.
The input voltage requirement of the 25B-A4P8N114 drive is single-phase 240 Volts AC power and the maximum output current for the drive is 4.8 Amps. The drive comes in an IP20 NEMA enclosure and there is also an EMC filter which protects the drive from EMI interference. The ambient operating temperature of the drive should be between -20 and 50 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity of the environment should be non-condensing between 5 and 95%. The 25B-A4P8N114 drive must be installed in accordance with the minimum mounting clearances to maintain the temperature around the drive. Precautions should be taken so that the drive is not damaged by falling debris and the vents of the drives should be protected so that they do not get choked with dirt or debris. The connections of the drive should be done according to the instruction in the installation manuals for proper operation.
This is a panel mounted device that is designed to provide an efficient means of operating a connected AC motor by incorporating speed control capability via frequency modulation and operational efficiency with the use of embedded control methods supported by this drive such as Volts per Hertz (V/Hz), Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), Closed loop velocity vector control, and Permanent Magnet motor control. This motor is also capable of implementing positiong control as it is designed with PointStop capability, an Allen-Bradley trademark technology that is used to stop motor load in a consistent position without encoder feedback. Additionally, it also supports Closed loop feedback with an optional encoder card and Point-to-point positioning mode.
The Allen-Bradley 25B-A4P8N114 has an integral keypad that permits the drive to locally receive control commands such as START / STOP / JOG and Frequency adjustment. It is also used to introduce inverter parameter configuration for customization of operation. It has an LCD display to provide readout of the current selected parameter as well as drive diagnostics and error display.
This drive has Input and Output terminals that is composed of Seven (7) Sink / Source discrete inputs, One (1) N.O.; One (1) N.C. Contacts relay outputs and Two (2) Digital / Optocoupler discrete outputs; Two (2) 0-10VDC; 0-20mA analog input and One (1) 0-10VDC; 0-20mA analog output channels. This I/O terminals allow wiring of hardwired signals for locally and remotely operating the drive. This drive is also equipped with an integral RS485 communication and Ethernet I/P communication ports.
