The Allen-Bradley 25B-B8P0N104 is a PowerFlex 525 adjustable Frequency AC drive. This drive is capable of implementing basic and advanced motor control via its modern features and specifications. This drive supports a variety of control methods such as Volts / Hertz, Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), Closed loop velocity vector control and Permanent Magnet motor control method. Which enables it to implement both Speed and Torque control. In addition, this drive is also capable of PointStop which stops motor load in a consistent position without encoder feedback, Closed loop feedback with an optional encoder card and Point-to-point positioning mode. For automatic control of analog loops, the 25B-B8P0N104 may act as a Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controller and supports up to Two (2) analog control loops.
The 25B-B8P0N104 has an input supply rating of 200-240VAC, 3-phase while output ratings include 0-230VAC, 3-Phase, rated Current of 8.0 A and Power of 1.5 kW (2.0 HP) both for normal and heavy-duty operation. This drive has a fully programmable frequency output of 0-500 Hz.
This drive is equipped with an increased number of I/O terminals. I/O terminals include Seven (7) Inputs; Two (2) Opto Outputs and Two (2) Relay Outputs; Two (2) Analog Inputs that support 4-20 mA signal; One (1) Analog output that delivers 0-10VDC and 4-20 mA signals. A dedicated potentiometer input terminal is also provided that may be used to regulate the drive’s output frequency locally. Compatible potentiometer is 1-10KOhms, 2W, minimum.
This drive has an acceptable input range of -15% to +10% of the drive rating at 47 to 63 Hertz, and it has a total power rating of 1.5 Kilowatts. It has a programmable current limiting capability, programmed for 200% on the hardware limit, and 300% of the total output rating on the instantaneous fault.
