Description
The 25B-D013N114 drive is an adjustable frequency drive from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PowerFlex 525 series. This PowerFlex 525 series drive comes with an EMC filter. The 25B-D013N114 adjustable frequency drive has a 3-phase input voltage range of 380 to 480 Volts AC and a 3-phase output voltage range of 0 to 460 Volts AC. It can be mounted on a panel or a DIN Rail, and it is protected by an IP 20 rated enclosure. The 25B-D013N114 adjustable frequency drive has an integrated STO or safe torque off functionality.

The 25B-D013N114 is a PowerFlex 525 adjustable frequency AC drive. This drive is also referred to as a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Adjustable Speed Drive, Variable Speed Drives, Frequency Inverter, inverter or simply, drive. All terms refer to an electronic device that is used to implement motor control including modulating speed control. Adjustable AC frequency drives are generally composed of a rectifier, DC filter and inverter circuitries.
The 25B-D013N114 implements speed regulation using a variety of control methods. Selectable control methods include Sinusoidal PWM, Volts/Hertz, Sensorless Vector Control, Economizer SVC motor control, Closed Loop Velocity Vector Control, Surface Mount and Interior Permanent Magnet Motor (without encoder), and Interior Permanent Magnet Motor (with encoder). Motor is driven via the electrical output characteristics of this drive such as output power of 5.5 kW or 7.5 HP for both normal and heavy-duty operation, 13.0 Amperes and programmable frequency output of 0-500 Hz.
This drive not only implements speed control but may also be used for energy savings. This drive has programmable start-up and shutdown parameters such as ramp-up, ramp down, acceleration and deceleration as well as motor idle operation. These parameters minimize generation of large inrush current and limits the effect of mechanical stress due to sudden change of phase of motor operation.
The 25B-D013N114 also features an integrated EMC filter, embedded communication interfaces such as Ethernet and RS485 ports that allow networking of the drive and permit remote configuration, operation and integration. Aside from the embedded communication interface, supported communication adapters include ProfiBus DP, ControlNet and DeviceNet.
