The Allen-Bradley 25B-D030N104 is a PowerFlex 525 Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). This drive is a compact, intelligent and programmable device that is capable of implementing a variety of control methods such as Volts per Hertz (V/Hz), Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), Closed loop velocity vector control, and Permanent Magnet motor control and the ability to perform controller-like functions as it comes with Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) control capability.
The 25B-D030N104 is ideally used for large AC motors for implementing standard motor control functionalities as well as implement speed control, start-up and shutdown protection and as well as energy saving measures. It also supports premiere integration wherein drive parameters may be accessed directly from a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) such as a CompactLogix or ControlLogix controller, allowing the drive to send and receive dynamic values and configuration in reference to the state of the PAC program. This helps the drive to change behavior and operation in real-time without the need of interfering the drive’s operation.
