Information About 25C-D4P0N114
The 25C-D4P0N114 is a PowerFlex 527 adjustable Frequency AC Drive. This drive is utilized to implement basic motor control by carrying out standard functions such as Start / Stop / Forward / Reverse and Jog controls. It also controls the speed of an AC motor by varying the frequency output delivered towards the motor using a variety of control methods such as Volts / Hertz, Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) and Economizer Sensorless Vector Control. For positioning and velocity loop control, the 25C-D4P0N114 has a specific control method for this requirement specifically, Closed Loop Velocity Vector Control however, this can be implemented only if the drive is installed with the optional encoder feedback module.
The 25C-D4P0N114 may also be used as motor protection and power saving equipment. The programmable parameters of this drive such as Acceleration, Deceleration, speed ramp-up and ramp- down, as well as the variety of Stop modes prevents the motor from experiencing operational stress and sudden change in current and power. It also enables the motor to perform a more efficient and safe way of changing mode of operation. Simultaneously, prevention of current, voltage, and power inrush lessens energy consumption.
The 25C-D4P0N114 has an input voltage requirement of 380-480VAC, 3-phase. The output characteristics of this drive includes output voltage of 0-460Vac, 3-Phase; Programmable output frequency of 0-590 Hz, output Current of 4.0 Amperes and output power of 1.5 kW (2.0 HP) for both normal and heavy-duty operation. This drive has embedded dual Ethernet communication interface that supports linear, star and ring topologies. Through this communication port, direct integration with the Logix Programmable Automation Control (PAC) platform may be implemented.
The PowerFlex 527 series drives are programmed with a set of motion instructions within Studio 5000 software, with the same instructions that are used for servo drives from AB Kinetix series. In this way, when there is a need to implement servo and AC drives on the same machine, the user can take advantage of the same drive configuration know-how and spare programming time.
The 25C-D4P0N114 AC drive works with 480 Volts AC (3-phase) and has 4 A working current and a 1.5 kW (2 HP) power rating. It must be kept in an IP20 enclosure. It has an integrated EMC filter and braking resistor. Types of control provided for the device include Volts per Hertz, SVC economizer, Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), and closed loop (position or velocity) vector control (only with an optional encoder card). For communication purposes, this drive uses a dual port for EtherNet/IP and safety system over the network. Multiple networking topologies and Device Level Ring (DLR) functionalities are supported.
The 25C-D4P0N114 is capable of implementing Safe Torque-Off feature, which can be applied either through hardwired safety or over Ethernet. All PowerFlex 527 drives, including 25C-D4P0N114, have removable terminal blocks to simplify installation. They also make available drive configuration that is stored in the Logix controller, so fast and automatic device replacement can be implemented if necessary. Installation flexibility is achieved through horizontal and vertical positioning options (fan kit must be added for horizontal mounting). Zero Stacking is applicable only for temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius. This product’s installation process requires either input fuses or an input circuit breaker. This unit’s mounting dimensions are 130 x 260 x 212 millimeters (5.12 x 10.24 x 8.35 inches) and its weight is 3.9 kilograms (8.6 pounds).
