Information About 25G4140
As a power-width-modulation (PWM) drive, the 25G4140 has the ability to use either general-purpose (V/HZ) or vector type regulation. When the user chooses to use vector regulation, the drive has a 150% capacity for overload for 1 minute. When the user uses general-purpose regulation, it has a 110% capability for continuous output.
The 25G4140 is surrounded by a NEMA 1 type chassis. It has air vents on it to promote airflow to the drive’s various internal components. The chassis also has an access door to an RS-232 communication port. This tall enclosure is protecting many internal components. There is a built-in keypad, a DC bus current sensor, a 24 VDC fan, a bus discharge resistor, a precharge resistor, an output reactor, a ground fault transformer, a current transformer, a precharge contactor, a DC bus fuse, a diode bridge, an intelligent power module PCB, two bus clamp PCBs, a gate driver PCB, a power unit interface PCB, and a regulator PCB. There are actually two regulator boards on this type of drive. The regulator on this drive is the high HP version that is for a 25-150HP type drive. This type of regulator is the same as a low-power regulator except it has a different type of interface connector.
