The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10C20 is an Allen-Bradley PanelView 1000 Standard Operator Terminal. This operator terminal is powered by an external 85-264VAC supply voltage. It features a 10.1-inch colored display screen with resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. It comes with Ethernet port for industrial communication and RS232 printer interface. It has keypad assembly that provides the operator interface.

The 2711-K10C20 is a PanelView graphic operator terminal from Allen-Bradley. This terminal is mainly used to implement real-time interaction between operators and machine, thus, it is more commonly called as Human Machine Interface (HMI).

Aside from being generally called as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device nowadays, previous term used to refer to this device is Man Machine Interface (MMI). This device provides basic functionalities to perform the necessary interaction; Graphic Display, Operator interface and Data communication.

Process display is provided by the 10-inch, Active Matrix Thin-Film Resistor (TFT) with Cold Cathode Fluorescent (CCF) Backlight. This display screen has a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and display size of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.).

Operator interface is provided by the embedded keypad assembly, which is composed of F1 to F16 function keys which are fully programmable, cursor keys to enable to move the cursor and highlight display lists, select numeric entries or used in HMI configuration mode. It also has numeric entry keys.

Embedded communication interface to the 2711-K10C20 are One (1) Ethernet I/P port that supports 10/100 mbps transmission rates and a separate RS232 communication interface which is exclusively used for printer interface.

Additionally, the 2711-K10C20 is powered by an external supply voltage of 85-264 VAC with frequency range of 47-63 Hz with power consumption of 55VA.

This unit runs on an input power rating of 85 to 264 Volts AC, with a sharp, multi-color display size of 10.1 inches. It also comes with a keypad that the operators use to key in information and data, and EtherNet and Printer (RS-232) ports for communication purposes. This terminal features a standard memory capacity of 256 kilobytes and non-volatile memory capacity of 1008 kilobytes.

Install this device to a NEMA 4x or NEMA 12 or 13 enclosure. Some features of the Allen-Bradley PanelView terminal include the function keys labeled from F1 to F16 on the keypad, cursor keys which are used for navigation or moving the cursor across or through the display lists for the easy selection and entry of numeric objects as well as for entering the configuration mode of the terminal. Further, it has numeric entry keys labeled from 0 to 9 for entering numeric values, and different symbol keys for entering a decimal point or negative values, and arrow keys for clearing or canceling digits and for storing entered values.
