This HMI is capable of displaying industrial graphical representation, texts and symbols related to the process. This monochrome screen provides the process visualization.

Control and interaction to the machine or process is initiated through the embedded keypad which is composed of Then (10) function keys, numerical key set and navigational buttons. These keypads enable the operator to enter commands, modify parameters, interact with system alarms and messages and navigate to different HMI screens.

Communication with controllers is implemented through the built-in Remote I/O (RIO) communication terminal that supports daisy-chain topology, using Belden 9463 cable. It also has a single RS232 Printer port that is specifically used for communicating with printers for documentation of alarm logs.

The 2711-K5A1 comes with built-in memory pre-allocated for 170 KB application runtime and 240 KB nonvolatile RAM used for application objects plus text and bitmaps.
