The Allen-Bradley 2711-NL7 replacement backlight kit is a factory pre-packaged backlight assembly for the PanelView 1000 Standard terminals from Series C only. They offer 10.4-inch (diagonal) color active-matrix displays that provide the operators with an enhanced graphical view of their applications. This series of operator interface terminals provides operator input either through a stainless steel domed membrane keypad or an analog-resistive touchscreen surface that can be controlled with gloved hands. Keypad terminals offer 16 user-defined function keys (F1 to F16), numerical keys (0 to 9), navigational keys (up, down, left, and right arrows), and special keys for complete application control. The touchscreen terminals offer the operators an analog-resistive touchscreen with interactive screen objects and 284 sensitive touch cells. Flexible communication options such as Ethernet, RS-232 serial communication, DeviceNet, ControlNet, PROFIBUS, DF1, Modbus, DH-485, and Remote I/O network support are also offered by this operator interface family.

The Allen-Bradley PanelView 2711-NL7 replacement backlight kit is available as a pre-packaged assembly consisting of an LED incandescent lightbulb, light holders, a set of fiber-optic lines, and a lens assembly. To install the 2711-NL7 backlight, first disconnect the power from the terminal and remove the backlight cover to gain access to the backlight panel. Remove the old LED, install the replacement LED, replace the access cover, and reconnect the power to the terminal.
