Description 

The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A16L1 is a PanelView 550 Standard Operator Terminal. This operator terminal is powered by an external 18-30VDC supply voltage and has a 5.5-inch monochrome display with embedded RS232 that supports DF1 protocol and another RS232 port for printer interface. It has an analog resistive touchscreen operator interface.

The 2711-T5A16L1 is a Panel 550 series Human Machine Interface device. It is designed with a blue monochrome LCD touch screen featuring a monochrome display screen of 5.5 inches. The 2711-T5A16L1 comes with an operating ambient temperature code of 300 degrees Celsius and should not be installed in an environment where the atmospheric gases have an ignition temperature less than 300 degrees Celsius. The 2711-T5A16L1 meets the EMC directive 89/336/EEC and the electromagnetic compatibility, as well as the amending directives. The primary intended function of the 2711-T5A16L1 is to provide plant operators and machine users to monitor and control the plant from a central location in the factory floor area. This is enabled by way of the integrated 5.5-inch display with support for monochrome graphics. The display area of the screen is 256 x 128 pixels with viewing area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.). It has a backlight with operational lifespan of 100,000 hr LED backlight life. Additionally, control and process interaction is introduced via the embedded 128 touch cells that is designed to operate up to 1 million actuations. It allows direct actuation of runtime objects to implement the necessary control, modification, and navigation commands to the system.

The 2711-T5A16L1 is mounted to an enclosure NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54, IP65. Maintain an operating temperature of 0…55 ° C (32…131 ° F) by installing devices such as heater or cooler and considering the terminal’s heat dissipation of 20 W (69 BTU/HR).
