The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A5L1 is a PanelView 550 Standard Operator Terminal. This operator terminal is powered by an external 18-30VDC supply voltage and has a 5.5-inch monochrome display with built-in RS232 port that supports DH485 communication protocol. The PanelView 550 is a compact, scalable hardware which comes with a built memory of 112 Kbytes for Series A to D and 240 Kbytes for Series E or later. This internal memory is expandable using ATA memory cards with memory size ranging from 256 Kbytes to 32MB memory. Additionally, this operator terminal may be installed with specific components to improve the device capabilities and operation experience such as anti-glare overlays, communication modules, communication cables, and other components.

This operator terminal supports runtime objects such as Control lists, Numeric and keypad entry, Scratch pad, list indicators, multi-state indicators, bar graph displays, analog gauges, numeric data displays, message displays, time and date objects, and other pre-loaded library of objects. This operator terminal has an internal configuration environment that provides adjustment of terminal parameters including language, video settings, memory card management, application runtime among others.
