The 2711-T6C5L1 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is mainly used to integrate, collect and display data from controllers to the device’ embedded colored display and allow control and modification of process variables. This operator terminal comes with a rugged and scalable body, compatible for use in a wide variety of industrial applications.

This HMI device comes with electronic components that are sensitive to electromagnetic interference. It requires mounting to an enclosure rated NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54, IP65. It may be installed with enclosure climate control devices such as heater and cooler to maintain the required operating temperature of 0…50 ° C (32…122 ° F). In addition to proper installation of the 2711-T6C5L1, it must be installed following the recommended mounting clearance of 25mm for both sides and top while 38 mm is required for the bottom part. This clearance will help ensure adequate air flow going to the device for natural cooling purposes. Additionally, the 2711-T6C5L1 PanelView operator terminal must be installed in a location with a vibration and shock not exceeding 2 g up to 2,000 Hz and 15 g respectively.

The 2711-T6C5L1 has a built-in RS232 interface port supporting DH485 communication protocol. It also has an internal application flash memory of 240 Kbytes. It is compatible for installation with an ATA memory card for memory expansion with memory range of 256 Kbps to 32MB memory.

The Allen-Bradley 2711-T6C5L1 is a 24 Volts DC power supplied device that consumes around 24 Watts of energy. This operator panel accepts a memory card which is used to store applications. It uses the RS-232 (DH-485) serial port for communication with PLCs (such as the SLC 500 and MicroLogix controllers) and other intelligent devices in industrial automation networks.
