The 2711P-RAAT15 is an adapter kit designed by Rockwell Automation to facilitate the installation of 15-inch PanelView™ Plus 7 Performance or PanelView 5000 terminals into existing panel cutouts previously housing PanelView Plus 6 1500 touch screen or PanelView Standard 1400 touch screen terminals. 

Key Components:

• Adapter Plate with Threaded Studs and Gasket: Ensures a secure and sealed fit into the existing panel cutout.
• Backing Plate: Provides structural support to the adapter assembly.
• Mounting Clamps and Nuts: Secure the new terminal in place.
• Drill Template: Assists in accurately positioning and drilling any necessary mounting holes.

Installation Overview:

1. Preparation: Disconnect power and remove the existing terminal from the panel.
2. Drilling: Use the provided drill template to mark and drill new mounting holes as required.
3. Adapter Installation: Position the adapter plate into the existing cutout, insert the backing plate from the rear, and secure them using the supplied nuts.
4. Terminal Mounting: Attach the new PanelView terminal to the adapter plate using the mounting clamps, ensuring the gasket is properly compressed to maintain environmental ratings.
5. Finalization: Reconnect power and verify the terminal's functionality.

It's crucial to note that this adapter kit is specifically designed for PanelView 5000 and PanelView Plus 7 Performance terminals. Using it with PanelView Plus 7 Standard terminals is not recommended, as it may result in improper sealing and potential damage to the terminal bezel.
