Information About 2711P-T12W22D8S
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T12W22D8S is a PanelView Plus 7 Standard operator terminal. This operator terminal is a compact, cost effective industrial grade hardware that is used in implementing real-time monitoring and control of machines and process. This device is more commonly termed as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device as it provide users and operators the capability of monitoring and controlling an application at a central location in the factory floor.
With the 12.1-inch color Thin Film Transistor (TFT) widescreen display, this operator terminal is capable of displaying process data and operational status of instrument and devices in 18-bit colors and resolution of 1280 x 800 WXGA. The screen is installed with a backlight that provides white light and contrast, enabling users to view the screen. This backlight is designed to reach half-life operation of 50,000 hrs when operated at 40 Deg. Celsius. The touch sensitive cells are also embedded through the screen, allowing operators to input commands. This analog resistive technology is rated up to 1 million actuation with recommended actuation force of 100 grams. It is also recommended to operate this operator terminal with a gloved finger or plastic stylus. Protective overlays may also be installed to prevent scratches as well as avoid direct contact of industrial contaminants with the screen.
This operator terminal is also installed with Two (2) Ethernet I/P interfaces. These ports individually supports 10/100 Mbps with auto-negotiation features ang compatible for connecting in Linear, Star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies. It uses commercial grade LAN cable assembly but may also use industrial grade cables for a more rugged operation.
It weighs about 12.6 lbs. and equipped with a LED backlight. The LED lifespan is up to 50,000 hours and it is not replaceable.
The 2711P-T12W22D8S has a memory of 512 MB RAM, 512 MB storage and 80 MB nonvolatile applications. The approximate cutout dimensions are 8.58 x 12.28 in. and the approximate dimensions of the terminal is 240 x 340 x 56.5 mm. The touchscreen has an analog resistive touch panel with 1 million actuation presses. The operating touch force is 100 grams. Its battery can be replaced with a CR2032 lithium coin cell and the battery life is 4 years minimum at 77 °F.
