The 2711P-T6C21D8S is an electronic device that functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device, used to implement real-time monitoring of process as well as providing an intuitive, user-friendly control interface. This operator terminal features a colored graphic screen in a 5.7-inch widescreen display along a resolution of 640 x 480 VGA in 18-bit color graphics.

User interaction is enabled by the analog-resistive touchscreen interface with actuation lifespan of 1 million presses at an operating force of 100 grams. It allows any user to directly interact with the runtime objects displayed in the screen.

It gives the operator terminal a user-friendly configuration environment and enables a variety of functions including File Transfer Protocol (FTP), VNC client server, ActiveX controls, PDF reader and third-party device support.

This operator terminal comes with comes with 512 MB Random Access Memory (RAM), 512 MB internal storage and 80 MB file storage. Additionally, Allen-Bradley Secure Digital (SD) Cards with catalog number 1784-SD1 (1 GB), 1784-SD2 (2 GB), 1784-SDHC8 (8 GB), and 1784-SDHC32 (32 GB) may be used to increase the internal storage of the drive. External flash drives may also be inserted to serve as storage expansion may be inserted to any of the USB interface.

From the work area, the user can perform framework and control board activities or run third-party applications. The user can even permit brief particular applications or access the handicap work area to anticipate unapproved changes.

The application PDF watcher can be downloaded onto the panelview to receive access to PDF archives that are secured on the terminal. Terminals are accessible with either Allen-Bradley marking or completely blank, allowing the user to fasten their own company logo onto the device.
