Information About 4100-234-RL
The Allen-Bradley 4100-234-RL is a Compact Motion Controller part of the IMC S Class microprocessor-based controllers. It supports up to four axes for closed-loop, point-to-point positioning of drive systems. This controller offers configurable motion profiles such as trapezoidal, parabolic, or S-curve, along with velocity, acceleration, and deceleration control. It also supports multi-axis linear, circular, or helical interpolation.
The controller is standalone and compact, equipped with a built-in Remote I/O (RIO) adapter for communication with other Allen-Bradley RIO devices like PLCs. It features AxisLink Multi-Axis Synchronization for coordinated motion.
Powered by an external supply voltage of 90-132V AC or 175-264V AC with a frequency of 47-63 Hz, the controller's I/O input power requires 5-40V DC, nominal 24V DC, up to 3 Amperes maximum. It utilizes a microprocessor Intel 80960SB @ 16 MHz and includes 32 KB write-lockable battery-backed RAM for application and parameter configuration storage.
Programming is done using the Graphic Motion Controller Language, and applications and parameters are downloaded to the write-protected battery-backed memory via RS-232C and RS-422 serial ports. The controller supports Flex I/O modules for extended discrete I/O features, including 20 isolated dedicated discrete inputs and 8 optically-isolated solid-state open relay outputs.
Operating conditions range from -40°C to 70°C, with a maximum relative humidity of 5% to 95% non-condensing.
