Information About 4190SN
The Honeywell Ademco 4190SN is a V-Plex® Two-Zone Serialized Interface Module designed to expand the zone capacity of compatible Honeywell control panels that support V-Plex devices. It provides two additional detection loops, known as the left (primary) and right (secondary) loops, facilitating flexible integration of various sensor types into security systems.
Key Features:
-
Left Loop (Primary):
-
Closed-circuit devices, with or without End-of-Line Resistor (EOLR) supervision
-
Open-circuit devices with EOLR supervision
-
Fast-response devices (10 milliseconds)
-
-
Right Loop (Secondary): Designed for closed-circuit devices only, without EOLR supervision, and operates with a 400-millisecond response time.
-
Tamper/Supervision Response: The module's tamper and supervision responses are determined by the zone response type assigned to the left loop. When the system is armed, tamper or supervisory faults report as alarms if the left loop is set to a burglary response type; they report as troubles if set to a non-burglary response type (e.g., fire, panic, auxiliary). When disarmed, such faults always report as troubles.
-
Programming: The 4190SN should be programmed like any other zone, following the alarm control's installation instructions. Specific input types and loop assignments need to be configured during setup.
-
Jumper Settings: The module includes jumpers that can be adjusted based on the desired configuration:
-
Red Jumper: Cut for fast response (10ms) on the left loop.
-
Blue Jumper: Cut to use the left loop without EOLR (closed-circuit only), which automatically places an internal 10K ohm resistor in series with the zone.
-
-
UL Compliance: The 4190SN is designed to meet various UL standards, including UL609 for Commercial Burglary and UL864 for Commercial Fire installations. Note that the right loop may not be used for Commercial Fire or UL Commercial Burglary installations.
-
Voltage Input: 8 – 12VDC
-
Current Drain: 2mA
-
Maximum Loop Wire Run: 100 feet
-
Wire Gauge: 18-22 AWG
-
Maximum Loop Line Impedance: 300 ohms
