Description
The 45C97 unit serves as an AutoRail Interface manufactured by Reliance Electric for integration with the AutoMate series of programmable logic controllers. This interface module facilitates communication between the AutoMate 20 Remotely Mounted I/O module and a processor unit, allowing for communication over distances of up to 1000 feet with minimal field wiring. The 45C97 AutoRail Interface operates in conjunction with the 45C35 AutoBus Interface Head, which replaces the local Head and can support up to four digital I/O rails. Connection between these devices is established using two twisted-pair wires with a maximum length of 1000 feet.
