This controller primarily features 0.6 MB user memory with an integrated 1784-SD2 2 GB Secure Digital (SD) card non-volatile memory. These integrated memories are ideal for small to medium application requirements. Additionally, for applications that require larger memory area, the non-volatile memory of this controller may be expanded up to 32 GB with the use 1784-SDHC32 32 GB memory. Other compatible memory card to this module are 784-SD1 (1 GB), 1784-SDHC8 (8 GB), and 9509-CMSDCD4 (4 GB) CodeMeter CmCard card.
This controller comes with One (1) USB 2.0 Type B port that supports up to 12 Mbps transfer rate. For primary communication such as connectivity and integration to control systems, the dual Ethernet communication interfaces are used. These ports support linear, star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies with data transfer rates of 10 / 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps, full duplex mode. This controller is capable of handling up to 32 Controller task with each task possibly handling up to 1000 programs using all type of program triggers.
This controller has an integrated motion capability wherein, up to 256 of motion axes is supported and Two (2) CIP drive axes configured as position-loop control. This controller is programmed using the IEC 61131-3 defined standard programming languages such as Ladder Diagram (LD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
