Information About 5069-L306ERMS2
The Allen-Bradley 5069-L306ERMS2 is a Compact GuardLogix controller. This unit is a Safety Controller, applicable for use in applications that require up to an including Safety Integrity Level (2) category. Basically, it provides the standard capability of a 5069-L306ERM controller with added Safety function.
This controller comes with a user memory of 0.6 MB and additional 0.3 MB safety memory to carry out safety tasks. It ships with a 1784-SD2 Secure Digital (SD) card that has 32 GB non-volatile memory. This non-volatile memory may be downgraded with 1784-SD 1GB memory or upgraded by installing 1784-SDHC8 with 8GB memory and 784-SDHC32 with 32 GB memory or with the use of the CodeMeter CmCard card 9509-CMSDCD4 with 4 GB memory.
This controller is capable of processing up to 31 standard Tasks and 1 safety task. wherein each task may be included with up to 1000 programs using all type of available triggers. It is also equipped with dual Ethernet I/P interface that supports Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet speed specifically, 10/100 Mbps and 1000 Gbps transmission rate. This controller may be connected to an Ethernet network implementing Linear, Star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology.
This controller also comes with integrated motion capability wherein up to 256 axes is supported and Two (2) Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) drive axes. This controller support use of safety tasks such as Add-On Instructions, Controller logging, Integrated motion suing Kinetix 5700 ERS4 drive, Drive Safety Instructions, Ladder Diagram (LD), Language switching, and Export program components.
The Allen-Bradley 5069 CompactLogix and CompactLogix GuardLogix 5380 SIL 2 5069-L306ERMS2 controller can communicate with local I/O modules if an application calls for it, and it can connect to as many as 8 of these local I/O modules at a time. The local I/O modules connect to the 5069-L306ERMS2 controller on its right side in the system. This controller can handle 1 safety task and up to 31 standard tasks at a time, and it can support different programming languages. For the safety task, the 5069-L306ERMS2 controller can only use the Ladder Diagram (LD) programming language, but for the standard tasks, it can use the Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram (FBD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), and the Structured Text (ST) programming languages depending on the needs of the tasks and applications.
