The 5069-L330ERMS2 controller is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Compact GuardLogix 5380 SIL 2 series safety controller. It is made to operate with the Ethernet network. The 5069-L330ERMS2 safety controller supports 60 Ethernet nodes, the star, linear, and DLR network topologies, and 2 Ethernet ports. The 2 Ethernet ports support communication speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps. The 5069-L330ERMS2 safety controller can support 32 tasks at a time which include 1 safety task and 31 standard tasks, and all of these tasks can support 1000 programs each.

It also has a non-volatile memory amounting to 2GB that comes along with the controller through the 1784-SD2 Secure Digital (SD) card.

This controller also features support for integrated motion over Ethernet I/P wherein a maximum of 256 motion axes and up to Sixteen (16) Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) drive axes may be configured. This motion capability is implemented via the dual Ethernet I/P interface that supports linear, star and ring topology at speeds of 10 / 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps communication speed. This USB port cannot be used for industrial communication.

This controller supports 31 standard and 1 safety tasks in continuous, periodic and event triggered tasks. Each task can handle up to 1000 programs using all triggers. It supports up to 31 local I/O modules which can be a combination Compact 5000 I/o and safety I/O modules.

The controller is manufactured as open-type equipment which means that it does not have any built-in protection from harmful substances like water, chemicals, and debris. The manufacturer recommends protecting the 5069-L330ERMS2 controller by installing it in an enclosure that is rated to keep it safe in the particular environment that it is being used in.
