The Allen-Bradley 5069-L350ERMS2 is a Compact GuardLogix controller. This is particularly a safety controller that features Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 Rating. It has a dedicated user memory for storage of user programs intended for standard and safety tasks.
The 5069-L350ERMS2 features 5 MB user memory and 2.5 MB safety memory. These memory areas allow storage of programs, kept within the tasks supported by the controller. For standard functions, the 5069-L350ERMS2 supports configuration of up to 31 Tasks while for safety functions, only 1 can be configured; however, a task may contain up to 1000 programs regardless of the type.
At least V31 is needed to configure the hardware and set the parameter needed to start programming this safety controller.
For motion control, dedicated parameters include support for up to 256 Drive axes which may be composed of any CIP, virtual, consumed and other configurable axes. Specific for Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) drive axes, up to 24 drive axes may be defined.
The 5069-L350ERMS2 is provided with Two (2) Ethernet interfaces which can be used as primary communication interfaces. These ports support up transfer speeds of 10 / 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps transmission rate. Additionally, these ports may operate with One (1) IP address or Dual IP address and may connect in topologies such as Linear, Star and Device Level Ring (DLR).
When the 5069-L350ERMS2 controller is used in the Dual-IP mode, it needs to have a unique IP address for each of its ethernet ports. When used in Linear/DLR mode it only needs to have 1 IP assigned for both Ethernet ports. This controller can support 256 axes and 120 Ethernet/IP modes at one time. Its built-in memory includes 5 MB of user memory capacity and 2.5 MB of safety memory capacity. The 5069-L350ERMS2 controller’s MOD power voltage range is from 18 to 32 Volts DC PELV/SELV, and its maximum MOD power current rating is 475 milliamps.
