The Allen-Bradley 5069-OBV8S is a Compact 5000 I/O Safety output module. This module has built-in Eight (8) output channels that operated at voltage range of 17.5-32VDC. This module is suitable for use in application that require up to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) CL3 and PLe, Cat. Safety level. In addition, channel safety input module. This module support sourcing wiring configuration and delivers an output current of 1 A per channel.
This module may be installed with a Compact GuardLogix 5380 Controller, acting as a local I/O module. As a distributed I/O module, this module works with GuardLogix 5580 controllers.
The 5069-OBV8S is provided with capability of detecting of detecting Field power loss, No load, Output short circuit, Overload, Output overtemperature and Output overtemperature detection while embedded protection features include Reverse voltage protection and Overvoltage protection.
For safety functions, the module’s output channels automatically turns OFF when controller enters program mode or fault mode. The safety outputs switches to OFF state when the fault is detected and will remail latched in this state until the cause of the fault is removed. Additionally, the safety outputs must be commended into the safe state to enable the module return to normal operation.
The 5069-OBV8S has meets Safety Integrity Level (SIL) of SIL CL3, PLe, Cat. 4. It has Safety reaction time (SRT) of 4.5 ms and min. output pulse width of 400 µs.
These modules use a producer and consumer communication system that consists of intelligent data transfers between the modules and different devices. Under this operating model, each module can produce data without the need to be polled first.
The Allen-Bradley 5069-OBV8S safety output module comes with a conformal coating that protects it against dull environments. This module is a DC module and its 8-point output has a voltage of 17.5 to 32 Volts DC.
