Information About 531X171TMAADG2
The GE Terminal Board Relay Card 531X171TMAADG2 is a replacement board and is installed in a drive. The drive is a high-voltage device and maintaining any components in the drive subjects the installer or servicer to the risk of electric shock, electric burns, and injury from the moving parts of the drive. To avoid the risk or shock, burns, or other injury, the servicer should be fully qualified.
The servicer must understand the risks involved with working with high-voltage electricity. The servicer must know to inspect the general area around the drive before starting and where the emergency shut-off devices are for the power supplied to the drive. And the servicer must know how to operate the shut-offs. It is best practice to use a buddy system to replace the board. That is, the servicer must have an assistant or other individual in the area who can provide assistance if needed or if an emergency occurs.
Before starting any procedure all power to the drive must be removed and the servicer must use a tester to verify that power is disconnected. Use an approved tester that is calibrated and configured for the purpose. The servicer must be familiar with all points in the driver from which to test for power. If power still resides in the drive, do not continue until it is removed.
