Information About 531X308PCSABG1

The replacement of a defective power connection board with the 531X308PCSABG1 board is designed to be a quick and easy maintenance procedure. One important consideration is verifying that you switch the cables and wires from the old board to the new board without damaging the cables or wires. The cables and wires are easily damaged or broken so a proper procedure must be used.

The fine wires that comprise a ribbon cable are prone to breakage and require special consideration. When you remove a ribbon cable hold it from the connector only.  Grasp the connector with one hand and steady the board with the other hand. Pull the cable out by holding the connector. The one action that might damage the ribbon cable is to grasp the ribbon cable itself and tug the cable out of the connector. This action will pull the fine wires out of the connector and the result will be that the cable is useless.

Some wires are connected to the board through terminals that hold the wire securely with screws. First you must use a screwdriver to loosen the screw enough so that the wire can be released from the terminal. However do not remove the screw entirely. When you install the wire in the new board, loosen the screw, insert the wire in the terminal, then tighten the screw to secure it. Pull on the wire to test it.
