Product Description P/N: 5501-428
Description
The Model 5501-428 is a 2CH Actuator Controller Module manufactured by Woodward within their NetCon Controllers Series. It features two channels, each capable of controlling a proportional or integrating, pneumatic or hydromechanical actuator. This module operates at 10mA and requires a power supply of +5 V @ 0.5 A, +24 V @ 1 A. The part number denotes its maximum output current capability. With a Current Output Tolerance of ±1% of full scale and a Current Read Back Tolerance of ±5% of full scale, it ensures precise operation.
Each actuator channel supports one or two position feedback devices such as LVDT or RVDT. The module incorporates fault detection mechanisms including alarms for feedback, excitation, and driver errors. Installation involves securing the module into a card guide within the control chassis, connecting it to the motherboard. The module can be removed from the motherboard using two handles located at the top and bottom. It is crucial to utilize a MicroNet low-density discrete (gray) cable for connectivity, as analog (black) cables are incompatible.
