The parameters for every traversing lock can be set individually. There is also additional data that is considered as well. This data includes items such as target position, acceleration, velocity, command, and block enable circuit. Interfaces are another area of attention for this module.
What are the interfaces that are provided on the board? There are two analog interfaces for each drive (± 10 V) that deliver the setpoints for things such as current, torque reduction, and an override in velocity when setting position. All of this can be introduced by way of these interfaces.
The other interface is the angular incremental encoder interface (WSG-SS). Incremental position reference values can be put in as parameterize input. As far as output, the values of the position can be used for a higher amount of control by way of the interface that has your set parameters. The number of digital inputs is four per drive. The number of digital outputs is also 4 per drive. There are two analog outputs per drive.
The Simodrive 611 control board uses either the optional terminal module or the optional PROFIBUS-DP module to expand the available options on the unit. The terminal module gives you eight additional inputs and eight digital outputs. The extra eight inputs and outputs are needed to select and start a traversing block in the positioning mode.
