Product Description P/N: 772101

Description / Specifications

Description

The Pilz 772101 Controller is a Base Unit featuring an Ethernet Interface, 2 RJ45 ports, and 4 Pulse Outputs, designed as part of the PNOZmulti 2 Series. These configurable safe small controllers find application across various sectors of plant and mechanical engineering. They serve the dual purpose of safely monitoring safety functions and executing standard control functions economically. The PNOZmulti 2 controllers boast a modular design: users can select a base unit and then customize the setup by adding the required number of expansion modules to suit their specific application requirements. The compact standalone base unit, PNOZ m C0, is non-modular and not expandable. Despite its narrow 22.5 mm width, it offers powerful performance comparable to a safety controller. Configuration of both the hardware and application is facilitated through the PNOZmulti Configurator software tool. Upon completion, the configuration is transferred onto a program memory and inserted into the base unit. The configurator allows for offline simulation of configurations before actual commissioning, eliminating the need for physical hardware during testing and setup phases.

Information About 772101

The Pilz 772101 Controller is a part of the PNOZ Series, specifically the PNOZmulti 2 line of configurable safe small controllers. These controllers find extensive application across various domains of plant and mechanical engineering. The PNOZmulti 2 controllers serve the dual purpose of safely monitoring safety functions and executing standard control functions in a cost-effective manner.

Featuring a modular design, the PNOZmulti 2 controllers offer flexibility to users. They can select a base unit and then customize the setup by adding the required number of expansion modules to tailor the system to their specific application requirements. However, it's essential to note that the compact standalone base unit, PNOZ m C0, is not modular and expandable.

Despite its narrow 22.5 mm width, the PNOZ m C0 base unit delivers robust performance comparable to a safety controller, making it a versatile choice for various applications. The hardware and application configuration for these controllers are created using the software tool PNOZmulti Configurator. Once the configuration is completed, it is loaded onto a program memory and inserted into the base unit.

A notable feature of the PNOZmulti 2 controllers is the ability to simulate the configuration offline prior to commissioning. This eliminates the need for physical hardware during the testing and setup phases, streamlining the deployment process and reducing potential risks associated with on-site commissioning.
