Information About 8020-SMM-100
The 8020-SMM-100 module is a Model 100 RAM memory module processor. The 8020-SMM-100 processor was designed and produced by Square D under the SY/MAX 8020 umbrella of products. Square D announced that the 8020-SMM-100 memory module processor would be obsolete by August of 1989. Although the original manufacturer has since discontinued the 8020-SMM-100 processor, and thus no longer supporting it with repairs and maintenance or offering it new in their stock, AX Control may have it in our stock. It is possible that we have the 8020-SMM-100 processor in refurbished (used) condition, brand new condition from surplus stock, or maybe even both! Call or email AX Control to speak to one of our professional, friendly, and knowledgeable sales representatives to find out the availability of this product and whether or not it is suitable for your facility.
The front side of the 8020-SMM-100 memory module processor has a wide white faceplate. Beyond the faceplate is the main part of the processor, which is a circuit board that is the same length as the faceplate. The 8020-SMM-100 memory module processor has twenty seven resistors that are lined up toward the top. Within the row of the resistors, there is a transformer, which is used to increase or reduce the voltage of the alternating current. Below the row of resistors, there is a small integrated circuit. In the bottom right, there are four slots where cells can be installed. In this area under each of these cell areas, there is text which reads “CONNECT NEW CELL BEFORE REMOVING EXISTING CELL.” Be sure to heed by this rule; if you do not, then serious injury and/or damage to the processor can possibly arise.
