Information About 8030-CRM-570
The Sy/Max Class 8030 Type CRM-570 Network Interface to Modbus enables communication between a Sy/Max processor using the Modbus protocol and a Sy/Net communications network.
The CRM-570 Network Interface to Modbus enables host computers or intelligent devices using the Modbus protocol to read and write to Sy/Max programmable controllers or D-LOG Data Controller Modules. The CRM-570 can be used to connect from 1 to 199 Sy/Max devices to a Sy/Max processor.
Sy/Max mode, Application 2 mode, and Application 3 mode are the three operating modes of the CRM-570. The modes enable a variety of configuration and types of devices to have access to the Sy/Max environment.
Switches located on the rear of the CRM-570 enable the operator to select the network baud rate, COMM port operating mode, COMM port baud rate, enable broadcast receive capability, enable self test capability, and select the network size.
Two thumbswitches on the front of the CRM-570 enable the operator to select the network device number. The network device number can be 00 to 99. Within a network, a network device number must be unique. If the network device number is assigned more than once, network operation is subject to malfunction and reliability issues.
