Product Description P/N: 9905-354
Description
Woodward model 9905-354 is a microprocessor-based DSLC Digital Synchronizer and Load Control, primarily intended for paralleling, synchronizing, loading, and unloading three-phase generator sets in conjunction with a Woodward speed control and an automatic voltage regulator.
Key functions of the 9905-354 include built-in diagnostics, setup, metering, and diagnostic capability through a handheld programmer terminal, automatic generator loading and unloading, droop, baseload, and isochronous load control capability, and a reverse power relay.
This control offers phase matching or slip frequency synchronizing, utilizing actual slip frequency and breaker delay values to ensure minimal phase difference between the generator and the bus during breaker closure. It features automatic dead-bus closure functionality, allowing only one DSLC control to initiate dead-bus closing through communication network-based locking techniques.

Information About 9905-354
The Woodward model 9905-354 is a microprocessor-based DSLC Digital Synchronizer and Load Control designed to facilitate paralleling, synchronizing, loading, and unloading three-phase generator sets in conjunction with a Woodward speed control and an automatic voltage regulator.
The 9905-354 offers options for either phase matching or slip frequency synchronizing. It utilizes actual slip frequency and breaker delay values to anticipate a minimum phase difference between the generator and the bus at actual breaker closure for both synchronization methods. Additionally, the control features an automatic dead-bus closure function, wherein only one DSLC control is granted permission for dead-bus closing via locking techniques over the communications network. With the 9905-354 DSLC control, the internal digital base load reference can be adjusted either upward or downward through switch inputs. Furthermore, remote load setting is possible via a 4–20 mA analog input. Load and unload ramps are implemented to ensure a smooth transition when changing the operating mode.
To mitigate the risk of static damage, specific precautions should be observed when working with or in proximity to the control. These precautions include discharging static electricity from the body by touching and holding a grounded metal object, wearing natural fiber clothing during maintenance procedures, and minimizing the presence of plastic, vinyl, and Styrofoam materials in the vicinity of the control, its modules, and the work area.
