Information About A03B-0815-C001
This type 2 reference I/O module from FANUC has 24 inputs and 16 outputs with 5 connectors (JD1B, JD1A, CA101, JA3 and CB161). Source 24V DC 1.7 Amp. Source I/P Supply, Per DI=24V DC 7.3mA, Per DO=24V DC 0.2Amp. These products are manufactured in Japan and are designed for Commodity production, advanced machining, and CNC milling usage.
A03B-0815-C001 supports a machine interface and interacts with the PMC ladder to ensure all the commands switching in the machine are working according to the PMC ladder diagram. This module was designed to work with any FANUC FS0i-B/C/D/F, FANUC FS-16/18/21i-B CNC control, mounted separately in the electrical cabinet, independent of CNC control.
An optional expansion module can be added or removed as needed. The base module and expansion module connect using a 34-pin flat cable. (Install the base module on the left side of the expansion module to prevent the cable from blocking the I/O link connector)
This module has 2 address groups, a group of DI addresses (16 bytes) and a group of DO addresses (8 bytes). The MPG interface (MPG counter) occupies a DI space from Xm + 12 through Xm + 14. These addresses are fixed regardless of whether an expansion module is used, and Xm + 12 through Xm + 14 must be allocated as a DI work area to enable the use of the MPG. Thus, when using an MPG, allocate DI addresses in units of 16 bytes. Do not use the DI space from Xm + 12 through Xm + 14 for ladder; the CNC processes the MPG counter value directly.
The DO drivers of both the base and expansion modules offer over current and high temperature protection circuits. If any (1 byte) DO driver detects too much current or too high a temperature, it automatically puts that (1 byte) DO signal in the OFF state until the issue is resolved. It also triggers an alarm on the DI address Xm+15 (DI address Xm+15 is used for detecting current and heat alarms that occur in the IC used in the DO drivers. This address is fixed regardless of whether an expansion module is used, and it must be allocated as a work area beforehand. When utilizing this work area, allocate DI addresses in units of 16 bytes). If an alarm occurs, the CNC itself and I/O module(s) will continue to operate normally (less the DO signal with the alarm).
