Information About ATV320U40N4C
The ATV320U40N4C is a variable speed drive within the Altivar Machine ATV320 series, engineered to accommodate 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors. Featuring a compact form factor, it enables vertical stacking within machine frames. Operating within a power range of 4kW / 5hp and a rated voltage of 380V to 500V AC, it boasts a robust design with IEC 60721-3-3 class 3C3 coated printed circuit boards, ensuring prolonged machine availability even in demanding environmental conditions, such as temperatures up to 60°C without supplementary cooling.
Equipped with functionalities tailored for diverse applications, including torque and speed accuracy at low speeds, high dynamic performance utilizing flux vector control without sensors, and an extended frequency range catering to high-speed motors, it caters to a wide range of operational requirements. Additionally, it supports parallel connection of motors and specialized drives via the voltage/frequency ratio, ensuring static speed accuracy and energy efficiency, particularly for open-loop synchronous motors.
The drive software incorporates 5 safety functions, aiding in meeting safety requirements, whether independently or in conjunction with a Preventa safety module, configurable using SoMove software.
Designed with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in mind, the Altivar Machine ATV320 meets application requirements spanning packaging, material handling, textiles, material working, mechanical actuators, and hoisting. Conforming to international standards such as IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 for immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions, it holds certifications including CE, UL, CSA, NOM, EAC, and RCM.
Mounting accessories and external options, including braking resistors, line chokes, motor chokes, and additional EMC filters, are available, tailored to drive ratings. Designed for vertical mounting on panels with four fixing holes, it seamlessly integrates within Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine ecosystem through DTM, facilitating configuration, control, and diagnostics via SoMachine and SoMove software utilizing the same software brick (DTM).
