Information About ATV61HD15N4
Altivar ATV61 variable frequency drives (VFD) are for variable torque applications from 1 to 900 HP. For the latest in high performance drives for pump and fan applications consider using an Altivar Process ATV600 drive family. Conformity to the international standards and certifications: CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick. The Altivar ATV61 is used for fan, multi pump and pump applications.
Made for industrial applications, the Altivar variable speed drive ATV61HD15N4 is engineered to help reduce operating costs. It does this by getting the most from energy consumption. It also increases the performance of manufacturing equipment. An environmentally friendly unit, the Altivar ATV61 drive gives a 70 % energy reduction when used for ventilation applications and a 50 % reduction in energy consumption for pumping applications. It also reduces fluid losses in distribution networks. Which environmental standards does this unit conform to? The Schneider Electric ATV drive conforms to ISO 14040 which tracts the product’s impact on the environment, and it meets environmental directives RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and international equipment standards IEC/EN 61800-2 and IEC/EN 61800-5-1.
Advantages
If the drive is used in a variety of harsh environments and has many modular option solutions that help adapt to electrical installations and control systems. The Altivar drive line offers many areas of protection. It offers overload and overcurrent protection in continuous operation. Skip frequency function offers another protection for machine/ mechanical with output phase rotation. It has multiple faults and configurable alarms to protect management.
To help better application use, the Altivar drive offers many logic and analog inputs and outputs. These analog inputs and outputs can also be expanded. How can you expand these functions? You can expand these features through the use of I/O expansion cards. The features that are standard include Modbus and CAN open protocols. These protocols help to improve the performance of your control system. The multi-pump cards inside have their own I/O which helps them to perform management functions on the drive I/O and manage the I/O of the expansion cards. The cards can use speed, torque, and current, for example, from the drive parameters. The ATV can only use two option cards at once.
How to use an ATV61HD15N4
After you have inspected your Schneider Electric module, check the line voltage to ensure it is within the drive range. Make sure the drive is not being installed near heating elements and make sure there is room for ventilation space around the drive. The front of the drive should have 10 mm of free space. The next step is to mount the Altivar drive in a vertical position ± 10°. Then you are ready to install option modules, both internal and external. Now you are ready to wire the drive to your system. Make sure the connections match the voltage when connecting the motor. Make sure the power is off and then connect the line drive. Connect the control and then the speed reference.
