The Standalone processor, Modicon M580, is a component of the Modicon M580 range, which encompasses Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and safety Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) equipped with built-in Ethernet connectivity. This processor module offers a maximum configuration of 8 racks and supports 144 application-specific channels. With a current consumption of 295mA at 24V DC, it facilitates the operation of 4096 discrete and 1024 analog local I/O channels, along with 64 distributed equipment.

Integrated with Ethernet TCP/IP for service port, 2 Ethernet TCP/IP for device network, Ethernet for HSBY port, and USB type mini B for connections, the Modicon M580 processor provides comprehensive networking capabilities. It boasts a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 600000 hours and supports 16 - 2 racks per remote drop for I/O stations.

Featuring an integrated RAM of 16MB for program, 2048kb for data, and 10kb for system memory, as well as expandable flash storage of 4GB for data storage, the Modicon M580 processor offers ample memory resources for various applications. It is rated IP20 for protection against solid objects and weighs 0.849kg.

Suitable for medium to large process applications, the Modicon M580 processor is certified by CE, Merchant Navy, UL, RCM, CSA, and EAC, and complies with standards such as EN 61131-2, EN 61000-6-4, EN 61000-6-2, and EN 61010-2-201.
