Information About DC1-46U
The DC1-46U, a basic plus process control DC1 series controller, is an open chassis, specialized customer model manufactured by Reliance Electric. Notable features of this model include an isolated process control interface, facilitating motor speed adjustment via a potentiometer in manual mode or a process control output signal in automatic mode. Additionally, the drive controller offers manual/automatic mode switching through a selector switch, process control signal input selection via jumper, an isolated input of 300K ohm differential, and adjustments for Process Interface (PI) Gain and Process Interface (PI) Bias.
Startup procedures for the controller entail verifying the direction of motor rotation. This is achieved by pressing the Run button followed by a quick press of the Stop switch. Should the motor shaft fail to rotate due to all potentiometers being set to minimum levels, slight clockwise adjustment of the Speed or Torque potentiometer is advised, followed by repetition of the Start/Stop operation. If incorrect motor shaft rotation is observed, pressing the Stop switch allows the motor to come to a complete stop. Subsequently, A-C input power is removed, and motor armature power lead connections (A1 and A2) are reversed. Reapplication of A-C input power allows for rechecking motor rotation direction.
