Information About DC2-42U
The controller requires 1 phase power input. The required input voltage is 115 or 230VAC. At 115VAC, the controller is rated for 90V armature and 50V field supply. At 230VAC, the controller is rated for 180V armature and 100V field supply.
The DC2-42U is rated for 10 input amps. At 115 VAC, the horsepower of the DC2-42U is between .25 and 1. When the DC2-42U is at 230 VAC, the horsepower of a DC2-42U is between .5 and 2. The controller is built with a plate or open style chassis. The power line frequency requirement is 50/60Hz.
The features of the DC2-42U controller include optional short circuit protection; line transient protection; full-wave, half-controlled armature voltage rectifier; half-wave field supply for shunt wound DC motors; armature current scaling; unidirectional operation; motor overload protection; and provisions for remote start, remote stop, and remote run/jog.
The DC2-42U controller has a speed control feature. The method of speed control is by armature voltage regulation or DC tachometer mounted on the electric motor. The DC2-42U controller has potentiometer motor speed adjustment and separately adjustable maximum and minimum speeds. The controller also has adjustable current limit and independently adjustable rates. The controller has armature voltage feedback scaling (90 or 180 volts) and adjustable IR drop compensation.
The DC2-42U controller also has a speed control feature with isolated process control interface. The operator selects between motor speed adjustment by potentiometer (manual mode) or process control output signal (automatic mode). The operator uses a selector switch to select the mode.
The DC2-42U controller also features run/jog capability for local or remote requirements.
