Description 

The Reliance Electric DC2-42UF controller is a component of the DC2 family, specifically designed to match the performance of Reliance Electric DC motors, forming a compact controller/motor package. Housed in an open chassis enclosure, it includes a factory-installed fuse (250VAC/25A) situated atop the device. 

Operating on single-phase power input, the controller accepts either 115VAC or 230VAC. At 115VAC, it provides 90V armature and 50V field supply, while at 230VAC, it offers 180V armature and 100V field supply. The horsepower range varies depending on the input voltage, with ratings between 0.25 and 1 at 115VAC, and between 0.5 and 2 at 230VAC. 

With a power line frequency requirement of 50/60Hz and a maximum input amp rating of 10, the DC2-42UF controller incorporates numerous features. These include a full-wave, half-controlled armature voltage rectifier, half-wave field supply for shunt-wound DC motors, optional short-circuit protection, line transient protection, and motor overload protection.

Featuring a speed control capability, the DC2-42UF controller enables speed regulation through armature voltage or motor-mounted DC tachometer methods. It includes potentiometer motor speed adjustment with separately adjustable maximum and minimum speeds. Moreover, the controller offers independently adjustable rates and current limit settings. It supports armature voltage feedback scaling at 90 or 180 volts and includes adjustable IR drop compensation.
