Information About DC2-99U
The DC2-99U controller is one of many controllers within the DC2 series. This particular controller module has the basic controller features along with the jog feature. This controller also features speed control configuration and operator’s controls.
The DC2-99U controller has all of the basic controller features that come standard with all of the controller modules in the DC2 series. This includes 50 or 60 power cycle without modification, AC line power for single phase 115 or 230 Volts, optional short circuit protection by an incoming line fuse, motor overload protection by internal motor thermostat, and unidirectional operation with coast-to-rest stop functions, among many other features.
The DC2-99U controller also includes the speed control features, which includes potentiometer motor speed adjustment, adjustable current limit, adjustable IR drop compensation, and independently adjustable rates. The speed control function itself is controlled by either armature voltage regulation or motor mounted DC tachometer. In addition to that, there is also armature voltage feedback scaling (at either 90 or 180 Volts) that is selectable by jumper. The maximum and minimum speeds are also separately adjustable.
Lastly, the DC2-99U controller has jog functions. This means that the controller offers Run/Jog capability for both local and remote requirements. This function is also available in chassis and enclosed controller designs for flexibility.
