The replacement GE Cell State Sensor Board DS200CSSAG1A might be a newer version of the old board. You might notice that components are located in different locations on the board and the components might also look different after a visual inspection of the board. However despite the differences, when installed the replacement board will provide the same functionality as the old board and compatibility is assured between the old and new boards.

The new board can also be installed in the same position in the board rack and the installation holes align with the matching holes in the rack. Use the same screws and washers from the old board to install the new board, if new hardware is not included with the replacement. It is important to use the washers with the screws because they ensure that the screws remain tight. The drive is subject to vibration during normal operation and so might otherwise cause the screws to loosen and fall out. Don’t use excessive force to drive the screws into place. The board is made of a material that is delicate and can easily crack or break.

The washers also help protect the board from breakage during installation of the screws. Have a clear view of the installation so that the screwdriver doesn’t brush against or damage other components in the drive cabinet.
