Information About DS200FCRRG1A

The GE Firing Circuit Control Board DS200FCRRG1A features 1 terminal block with terminals for 95 signal wires. It also contains 10 2-pin connectors, 2 ribbon cables, and a programmable logic device. The board is also populated with multiple capacitors that store current during normal processing. When signaled to do so, the capacitors release the current. For this reason, if you touch the board when power is removed from the drive you might still be shocked by a high-voltage current from the capacitors. To prevent the risk of shock, after you remove the drive from all sources of power, wait 30 seconds for any current in the capacitors to dissipate. After that period of time, you can safely touch the board.

However, another consideration involves the best practices for removing all power from the drive. The drive is attached to multiple sources of power and you must remove the drive from all of them before it is safe to work inside the drive. Often the site will document the power cable wiring and sources of power attached to a drive or other device. If that information is available, use it to find the power sources that must be disconnected. If it is not available, contact an installer or engineer familiar with the installation of the drive. If DC power is used to power the drive, an inverter that converts the AC power to DC power can be disabled to remove the DC power. If AC power is a power source, a switch or circuit breaker might be available.
