Information About DS3800DCMB1D1C

The GE Printed Circuit Board DS3800DCMB1D1C features a 40-pin connector and several EPROM modules. It also includes 4 indicator LEDs, 7 jumpers, and a 20-pin connector. The 40-pin connector is the main interface for signal transmission to and from the board. The attached ribbon cable is about 8 inches long, designed to connect to a nearby connector when the board is installed in the drive. This cable can handle up to 40 signals for transmission and reception.

When disconnecting the ribbon cable, avoid pulling on the cable itself, as this can damage the fine wires and the plastic connector. Instead, grip the connector and pull it away from the board. To reconnect the cable, align the connector with the board's connector and press it into place.

After installation and powering up the drive, you can use the LEDs to monitor board activity. The 4 LEDs, labeled TXDA, RXDA, DTSA, and CDA, will flash to indicate processing activity.
