Information About DS3800HIOD
The GE Digital I/O Board DS3800HIOD is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Digital I/O Board DS3800HIOD also is populated with 2 10-pin connectors and 1 40-pin connector located between the retention levers making them accessible from the front of the board. It also is populated with 6 jumpers.
The drive that the GE Digital I/O Board DS3800HIOD is installed in is designed for easy board installation. One feature is that the drive has module connectors at the rear of the board rack. The modular connector automatically connects the power and signals to the drive. This reduces the number of power and signal cables routed in the interior of the drive. One benefit is that cool air is able to flow easily through the drive and keep the components within the allowable temperature range. Another benefit is that the opportunity for connecting the wrong cable is eliminated. When you install the board, the connector on the end of the board meets the connector at the bottom of the board rack. Use your thumbs to gently press the board into the rack and simultaneously the modular connectors are pressed together. The retention levers lock the board in the rack. They also ensure the modular connectors will stay connected. Press the levers to lock the board in the drive.
To remove the board, first lift up the levers and pull the board out of the rack. Use the levers as handles to remove the board.
