The GE Parallel Line Buffer Board DS3800HPBC is designed for easy installation within the drive system. It features a modular connector on one end and retention levers on the other. Additionally, the board includes 1 red indicator LED and 2 amber LEDs, visible from the front. The board is also equipped with 3 jumpers and multiple capacitors. 

A key component of the board is the transistor to transistor logic (TTL) device, serving as the interface logic between integrated circuits. The operator monitors the operational status of the drive and ensures proper functioning. They are also responsible for overseeing multiple drives and equipment, including verifying the health and functionality of the boards. 

To facilitate monitoring, the board incorporates LEDs visible during operation. A lit red LED indicates an error, prompting the operator to power off the drive and perform a board reset. This reset addresses signal transmission issues and is achieved by removing and reinserting the board into the modular connector using the provided retention levers.
