DS3800HSAA1R1J | General Electric Digital I/O Board Mark IV

The GE Dom Plus Servo Amp Board DS3800HSAA1R1J is equipped with a modular connector at one end and retention levers at the opposite end. The board includes a heat sink for thermal management. Integrated within the board is an analog/digital converter. Additionally, the board features a 34-pin connector and a socket designated for the installation of electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules. The board also contains three trimmer resistors. 

The DS3800HSAA1R1J model is designed with a single EEPROM module socket. In the event of board replacement, the replacement board will arrive with the EEPROM module socket unpopulated. This design allows technicians to transfer the EEPROM module from the defective board to the new one, ensuring continuity in operation. It is crucial that the firmware and instruction code on the new board match those of the previous board to maintain consistent performance. 

To remove the EEPROM module from the defective board, use a screwdriver to carefully pry the module from its socket. If the module is not immediately reinstalled, it should be stored in a static-protective pouch or envelope to prevent damage. For reinstallation, align the EEPROM module with the socket on the new board and press it firmly into place.
