Information About DS3800HVDB1K1G
The GE Video Driver Board DS3800HVDB1K1G is designed for easy installation in the drive. It features a modular connector at one end and retention levers at the other. Between the retention levers, the board includes a 20-pin connector, along with several electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules and 15 jumpers.
The EEPROM modules store the firmware and control code for the drive's processing. As development progresses, firmware updates are released to fix errors, enhance reliability, and introduce new features. To take advantage of these updates, the latest code must be loaded onto the modules. Fortunately, these modules can be electronically updated without removing them from the board, ensuring the drive always has the latest firmware and programming code.
If the board needs to be replaced due to malfunction, it will come without the modules installed. Removing the modules does not require special tools; a screwdriver can be used to pry them off. To install new modules, simply position them over the socket and press them into place.
