The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA also is populated with 2 40-pin connectors between the retention levers. The board is also populated with 1 34-pin connector on the board surface for connection to a daughter card, and 5 jumpers.
The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA also is populated with standoffs that enable a daughter card to be attached. The daughter card does not operate independently, instead it works with the board. It receives electrical power from the board and it receives signals from the board. The signals are processed by the daughter card. Other signals are transmitted back to the board. The daughter card provides added processing and functionality to board. The daughter card is attached to the standoffs. Each corner of the daughter card has a hole and the standoffs fit into the holes. Press the card into the standoffs until the daughter cards snap into place. The daughter card will be attached securely. The daughter card is populated with a short 40-pin ribbon cable. The ribbon cable attaches to the 40-pin connector on the board.
