Product Description P/N: DS3800NAID
Description
The DS3800NAID is a PCB from GE for their Speedtronic Mark IV series. While the first Speedtronic system was made commercially available by GE in 1968, the MKIV made significant technological strides forward over the earlier MKI and MKII. The MKIV introduced the idea of running integrated computer-based platforms simultaneously, distributing control functions across all platforms, and using a two-out-of-three voting system to make decisions on all critical controls and parameters. This minimizes turbine outage rate and improves the overall efficiency of the system.

Information About DS3800NAID
The DS3800NAID is a PCB with a minimum of components. Primarily, it has a number of male vertical-pin mating connectors. The board is populated with ten of these connectors, with four located on the top edge, five on the bottom, and one in the middle of the board. Connectors vary in the number of pins they have. Each connector is labeled, and each has several sub-labels. For example, several of the connectors are sub-labeled with such things as OUT, IN, LOOP, LINE, PULSE, and RATE. The board also includes several TP test points. Many of these are also labeled with such things as HI, LO, LINE PULSE RATE, LINE OUT, and ACOM.
The DS3800NAID has two push button switches. It has a set of spare PTH (plated through holes.) Capacitors, diodes, and resistors all appear on the board. Most resistors used on the DS3800NAID are made of ceramic-covered metal film, but other types are present.
