Information About DS3800NGPA
The DS3800NGPA, a printed circuit board (PCB) manufactured by General Electric, is specifically designed for integration into the Mark IV (Speedtronic) series, tailored for gas/steam turbine control applications. The Mark IV series excels in automating procedures such as cool down and startup, ensuring system safety during operation.
Functioning primarily as a gain programming card, the DS3800NGPA boasts the following specifications:
- Alignment markings are present along two edges of the board, with letters (A-J) along the top edge and numbers (10-80, by tens) along the left edge.
- Factory drilling is employed, with extractor clips installed in both right-hand corners to facilitate safe extraction and insertion of the board. These extractor clips provide technicians with an alternative handle for PCB manipulation, thus safeguarding delicate circuitry.
- Provision is made for an optional daughter board (DS3800DGPA), which, when installed, provides the motherboard access to six additional trim potentiometers and multiple snap-in PCB screw mounts. The DS3800DBPA daughter board is secured in place by 29 metal pins located in two lines center-right of the board.
- The board is equipped with seven LEDs, comprising six red LEDs and one amber LED, interspersed with 17 TP test points.
- Additionally, the board features one rotary potentiometer, five transistors, including a Motorola power bipolar transistor, and multiple integrated circuits to fulfill its operational requirements.
